Our Poplar restaurant seats up to 209 (131 inside and 78 outside). It includes a new conservatory overlooking the play area, gardens and Poplar miniature railway, making it a beautiful spot to enjoy a meal or a quick cup of coffee all year round. We serve breakfast from 8:30am every day (9.30am on Sundays) until 11:30am, lunch from 11:30am and a delicious range of homemade cakes, scones and cream teas throughout the day. Hot food is served until 4:00pm (3:30pm on Sundays) and cake is served until 4:30pm (4:00pm on Sundays). Our menu changes seasonally, offering a wide selection of homemade favourites using local produce. Our chefs also create daily specials, allowing them to offer you some exciting new dishes to try. Our exquisite cakes, made on site, are also available to order whole and with over two hundred different cakes to choose from, this is an opportunity not to be missed! (Please note that twenty-four-hour notice may be required.)

Bookings

Our spacious restaurant in Colchester, Essex, is perfect for club meets, from a quick coffee stop to a sit-down lunch. We will accommodate and adapt our menus for any visit you may require. You can book a table in our restaurant, but bookings for the same day need to be made before 11:00am and Afternoon Tea bookings must be at least one day in advance.   We can cater for mid-morning groups, early lunches and afternoon teas.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or queries on 01206 210374.


Visitors will be asked to confirm, on arrival, that they are accompanied only by people who live in the same household - and each group must not exceed 6 people for allowed entry.  Please click here to read our latest blog with an explanation of this. 

NHS Track and Trace forms must be filled out.

Please write your order on the back of the Track and Trace slip.  

Put your order in the plant pot at the end of the table for a waitress to collect.

Payment will be taken a the table once the waitress has processed your order.
